In April 2022, this melody turned into 20 years! Darius had recorded it with his Buddy Claudio in his studio in Korneuburg/Austria. In April 2002 DJ Shaun Baker had a gig on a weekend in the legendary discotheque Fun Factory, in Vienna. The afternoon before he came to Darius‘ studio to produce a song. Darius played him this melody and Shaun then wrote and spoke the famous sentence:

„EXPLODE“ was born and this melody burned itself so incredibly strong into the hearts of ravers & party people around the world, as Darius would never have imagined in life. In addition to the many official (new) versions, since the first release in April 2002, there are also countless bootlegs & mashups on the WWW year after year.

Darius & Finlay achieved another huge success in January 2022 with this melody. They mixed „Explode“ with Martin Bepunkt’s vocals „Mein kleines Herz (Bam Bam)“. Within a few weeks, this Mash-Up went massively viral on Tik Tok with over 100.000 video creations and millions of views! Meanwhile, the song reached over 50 million+ streams just on Spotify and 6 million+ views on youtube.

In 2024, the success story continued at full speed – with an explosive collaboration featuring Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Timmy Trumpet, and Brennan Heart. Together with these international top acts, Darius & Finlay released a brand-new Hard Dance version of “Explode” in January 2024, perfectly capturing the spirit of the times. Fans celebrated the track from day one – and by now, the song has already surpassed 9 million streams!

But even that wasn’t the end of the story.
Global superstar Tiësto took notice of the iconic melody and reached out to Darius & Finlay to create his very own version. In March 2024, he released his interpretation of “Explode” – giving the legendary track a brand-new, global shine. 🌍✨

And as if that wasn’t enough, 2025 marked a completely new chapter in the history of „Explode.“ The famous Crazy Frog, who conquered the world with his unmistakable style, also released his own version of the track. With an even crazier animation and a twisted visualization, the legend of „Explode“ was catapulted into an entirely new dimension. 🎮💥
